Managers with personnel responsibility have many fixed tasks in their day-to-day life. One of them is to keep track of when employees are available in relation to holidays, days off, illness and other absences. Part of this task is also to give employees time off when they want it, but at the same time to ensure that the right staffing in the department is present at a given time, e.g. during holiday periods. The important thing in these tasks is to have an overview of when the employees want to take time off. For many, this task is done by creating a spreadsheet and manually updating it with the employees' vacation and vacation wishes, and this is time-consuming and inefficient.

Visualization is the key to getting an overview. 

With ServiceNow - Absence Tracker and PLANNER, which is a plug-in for ServiceNow (HRSD), the manager's internal and external employees' holidays, holiday wishes and other absences such as e.g. training, maternity, illness and more are shown in a single view. You can then decide from the view what you want to see, e.g. 

  •  The period of the absence
  •  Internal and/or external employees
  • Approved, rejected or pending periods of absence
  • Type of absence - vacation, training, maternity, illness, other, etc.

In the view, a period is selected for the display between 1 month and 12 months and the indicator in the middle is always today's date. The half period is thus displayed on each side of the indicator.
